Accessibility statement

Our online shop should be easy to use for everyone – including with a screen reader, keyboard, magnification or voice input. This statement applies to the online shop at https://www.schuhe-handwerk.com and describes how it meets the requirements of the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG).

Our service

In the online shop, items can be searched, viewed, saved and ordered, payments can be made, a customer account can be managed, and returns and withdrawals can be declared.

Compliance status

The shop follows the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA and thus the European standard EN 301 549. Measures include:

• Fully operable by keyboard, with a visible focus
• “Skip to content” link, clear headings and page regions
• Text alternatives for images, labelled form fields and understandable error messages
• Sufficient contrast, including text on images
• Zoom up to 200% and display on smartphones without loss of information
• Menu, basket, filters and search as dialogs – close with Escape, focus stays within the dialog
• Reduced motion when set in the operating system

Known limitations

Third-party content – for example payment pages, review widgets or embedded videos – is not entirely under our control. We are continuously improving the shop.
